For a while now, I’ve been trying to define what really matters to me – not just in work, but in life.
Running this blog, experimenting with different approaches, and constantly adjusting my workflow has helped me see things more clearly.
So, here’s where I stand right now: my values, my work principles, and the rules I follow (or try to).
Values: What Drives Me
These are the things that guide my decisions, whether it’s writing a blog post, choosing a project, or structuring my workweek.
- Authenticity: I share real experiences, not just polished advice.
- Growth: learning, experimenting, improving – it’s a constant process.
- Balance: work is important, but so is mental health. Finding the right rhythm matters.
- Usefulness: If I share something, it should either help someone or at least make them think.
- Adaptability: sticking to one approach doesn’t work for me. I adjust as I go.
Work Principles: How I Operate
I’ve tested a lot of approaches: some worked, some didn’t. Here’s what I’ve settled on:
- Flexibility, but not chaos. I don’t force myself into strict daily habits, but I do have a system that keeps things moving.
- Quality over quantity. I stopped chasing consistency for the sake of it. If I have nothing valuable to say, I won’t post.
- No blind trend-following. Just because something works for others doesn’t mean it works for me.
- Honesty with myself and my audience. I won’t sell the idea of a “perfect system” when I know that’s not how life works.
- Experiment, learn, adapt. I try things, reflect, tweak, and move forward.
Rules: What I Stick To
- I don’t force myself to do things that clearly don’t work for me.
- I respect my own pace: some weeks I’m productive, some weeks I’m not, and that’s okay.
- I only share what feels genuine and meaningful.
- If something feels off, I allow myself to change direction.
- I focus on creating real value, not just content for the sake of it.
I also have a bunch of smaller daily rules, like: don’t overwork, reply quickly, be kind, and respect everyone – but there are too many to list right now (maybe I’ll share them another time). 😀
That’s where I’m at right now. Things might change (because they always do), but for now, this framework helps me stay focused and true to myself.
