Is the WordPress Community Silent, or Is It Just Me?

No, this post isn’t about Valentine’s Day – though if you’re celebrating, have a lovely one! ❤️

I just wanted to share my thoughts about the WordPress Community and how I’ve been feeling lately.

For the past (almost) two months, I’ve been deeply focused on work. But whenever I check Twitter, Facebook, or Slack communities, it feels… quieter than ever. I’ve heard about Bluesky, but honestly, adding another social media platform feels exhausting. And switching from Twitter to Bluesky doesn’t seem relevant right now – I don’t want to miss out on the once-active community on Twitter.

How are you dealing with this shift?

Are we all just resting and recovering from the holidays? Or is it the wave of WordPress-related “events” keeping people occupied?

Or maybe it’s just the winter time, where everything slows down a bit. I’m not sure, but it’s hard to ignore this feeling of stillness.

How Am I Handling This Pause in Activity?

First, I’m planning to attend some WordPress events. I need real conversations – to hear how others are doing, whether I’m missing something, or if we’re all just collectively recovering from recent drama.

My big question: How do we make 2025 a year of growth, not stagnation?

What Do You Think?

Have you noticed the silence – fewer social media interactions, less engagement? Or is it just me? 🗨️
