Astonishing Prague: My Family Trip

my memories from Prague trip 2025

Even though I got sick on the second day of my trip (and I’m still recovering), I couldn’t wait to share some memories with you from my summer journey with my family.

Choosing country to visit

During my Cloudfest trip, I was passing through Prague at night and was honestly so charmed by this city. That’s why, immediately after my work trip, I started planning my August vacation to Prague with my family and my lovely sister. 🥰

Plus, my second – and most important – reason: the Czech Republic supports Ukraine so much. I just want to visit every country that helps us fight and survive.

Preparations

I always start with booking a hotel, planning the trip from Ukraine, and saving some money. After that, I just explore Google Maps and add places I like to a shared folder (my sister adds her picks there too).

But!

What’s funny is that Prague is so full of architectural landmarks and beauty that I simply stopped adding places at some point. 😀

So, I just wrote a little wishlist:

  1. Visit places with the best views
  2. Take an evening cruise
  3. Visit some bookshops (how could I skip that? :D)

Spoiler: the trip was 100% amazing!

Some memories

I met my family near the bus station – they were coming from Poland, and I came from Ukraine – and we went straight to the hotel. Bolt, of course, is my favorite taxi app.

Even though the hotel had some problems, we quickly forgot about them.

We had 4 days to explore the city.

We were surprised, amazed, and so in love with Prague that we already want to come back someday.

Bookshops that are true gems

Me and my sister bought some books and absolutely fell in love with Budget Books and Palace of Books.

Plus, I have 2 bonus days only with my sister, but this is another story 🙂

Instead of conclusion

Prague is completely worth visiting, plus it’s super affordable (compared to some European countries like Switzerland :D).

What country or city would you recommend visiting next?

Even though I’m not planning more trips this year, there will definitely be more adventures ahead.
