Launching My Weekly Reporting
I’m starting a weekly self-reporting practice to share how my week went in both professional and personal aspects. This approach will help me reflect on my progress and experiences.
This Week: December 9th to 13th
December always feels like the perfect time for reflection, summing up the year, and planning for the next one. Honestly, I haven’t properly planned the past two years due to russia’s invasion in Ukraine.
Life remains uncertain, but we’ve learned to adapt and plan within these challenging conditions.
This year, I’ve decided to plan as much as I can and hope that weekly reflections like this will help me stay on track. I’m not sure if I’ll post updates every single week, but I’m excited to start this new habit. ✍
Work
I’m thrilled that this week had fewer calls—I even had three days with zero calls! 😁 This gave me the space to wrap up the year effectively:
- Partnership Review: I reviewed ongoing partnerships, archived those that aren’t currently relevant or doable, and postponed some for next year.
- Strategic Planning: I assessed our strategic partnerships and drafted proposals for next year to discuss with the team.
- Feedback Consolidation: Over the year, I’ve collected feedback in various notes. This week, I compiled everything into a single, well-organized FigJam document. I structured it into categories such as affiliates, team, partners, social media, and more. I also brainstormed ideas for improvements and will discuss them with the team soon.
Emotional state
The weather this week was so cloudy that it was hard to wake up. Sometimes I overslept and ended up working during lunch. Thankfully, there weren’t any urgent tasks, so I allowed myself the time to fully wake up before tackling important work.
Each day I tried to warm up my body with yoga, barre, or just simple stretching.
☀Friday brought the first sunny day of the week, but it started with massive attacks (yep, again). I prepared a safe spot in the corridor in case my city was targeted.
Luckily, everything remained quiet, and during the attacks, we only lost electricity. Thanks to our incredible army, my day stayed calm despite the tense morning.
One book read
This week, I finished reading Year Without Shopping – an excellent book. It resonated with me because I’ve been dealing with some “issues” related to consumption. The book inspired me to be more mindful and take greater control over my spending habits the next year.
Also, I noticed that I don’t want to set any quantity-based challenges, like reading a certain number of books. This shifts the focus from quality and meaningful reading to rushing through it.
Preparing for my vacation
As I had two big trips this year, I decided to take a one-week Christmas vacation at home. ☃
I’ve already bought a hobby set, and I also have a coloring picture, movies to watch, books to read, yoga to practice, and walks with my husband planned.
I want to take a relaxing week to return in 2025 with renewed energy. I’m also making a list of things to do during the vacation, like checking my savings plan, reviewing expenses for 2025, etc.
How are you doing?
How was your week? I’d love to hear about it! Feel free to share your thoughts in comments below. 🌟
